Tom Pepper
She Line Devil

Tom Pepper is a talented and charismatic U.K. singer songwriter. From an early age all Tom ever wanted to do was entertain. At the age of fifteen he found world-class teacher Janet Edwards. With Janet as his mentor, Pepper was taught and encouraged never to be tied down to one genre. Edwards believed that Pepper had more to offer than to be limited simply to singing baritone or soprano. With her teaching and hard work Pepper has managed to extend his vocal range to span over three octaves, incorporating falsetto and a mixed chest and head voice.
Pepper has the ability to be able to perform and sing most songs that he puts his mind to and in a variety of different genres.

Pepper’s writing ability started when took a keen interest in music technology. He found not only did he have a passion for writing songs but could also understand how songs were recorded. Throughout his youth Pepper grew up listening to a wide variety of artists, from Elvis Presley, to Pavarotti. But the one genre of music which really influenced him was Hip hop. The slick urban beats inspired Pepper to create his own style of music, a mix of Hip hop and R&B with a smooth Jazz tainted vocal. As time progressed his writing changed and moved slightly towards a more pop orientated sound, providing that all important ‘hook’ based element to his songs.

As time progressed and having worked with a multitude of writers and producers, Tom Pepper eventually met Mike Bennett. Bennett has won many awards, including 12 Gold Discs and the coveted Ampex Gold Reel Award. Bennett has also written, produced and remixed for a diverse range of artists including Ian Brown, The Stranglers, Gregory Isaacs, The Specials, The Selecter, Hazel O’Connor, Wishbone Ash, Emerson Lake and Palmer, BMX Bandits, Bad Manners and The Fall, of whom he was also a group member. Together they are creating a new sound for 2010, and although in the early stages, they plan to hit 2010 with a bang.
